| Saturday | You Do It Your Way on the MeinWeg | |||||||||||
| A long trail; better not try to walk this one | ||||||||||||
| Hares: Froggy Fart - Skalaton Bugger - Toed Bedsores - Stains the Cough | ||||||||||||
| The National Park Meinweg is an
unique terraced landscape, with steep transitions between the terraces, which
in geological terms are a highly unusual feature in the landscape of the
Netherlands. The terraces formed over ten thousand years through erosion by
the river Meuse and shifts in the earth's crust along three fault lines that
run through the area, one of which is the Peelrand fault. Two streams (the
Boschbeek and the Roode Beek) run across the terraces draining the upper
plateau to the river Roer. In De Meinweg forests, fens, moors and valleys produce a varied landscape. De Meinweg is the only part of Limburg where the adder or common European viper can be found, so the snake has been incorporated into the logo of De Meinweg National Park. |

3 countries. The scenery is mostly forest with narrow trails. Watch out for hasher that have their Balls Broken on this hill and give them a smile. |

Nature offers us a big varation in trees, plants and flowers.The wildlife comprises foxes, deer, rabbits and mustelidae. In 2002 the beaver was introduced. It seems that there is a group of wildboars living in the vicinity. | ||||||||||||

| The First (and last and only) Dutch Treat Family hash takes the lead today | ||||||||||||
| Hares: Opee - Tuna - InspectorCueSoSo - K.I.N.D. | ||||||||||||
| Sunday | Ball Breaker | |||||||||||
| OK, not much longer than a normal Hash run, but considering that you will be exhausted (or at least your arms will be exhausted) from all the drinking the day before, this run will help you clear the demons from your soul! A quick jaunt through the city will soon leave you in a beautiful forest with plenty of hills and some challenging checks. Not for the faint of heart, this run will give you the chance to spread your legs (hee, hee, hee) and enjoy mother nature in true Dutch style. | ||||||||||||
| Sunday | Juvenile Delinquency | |||||||||||
| We promised fun for the kids at EuroHash 2011... with the Juvenile Delinquency run, we deliver on that promise. A mid-length run with an "amusement break" in the middle. Kids of all ages will need to bring along a few Euros (16 should do the trick) in order to do battle in a cave, fly in the air and zip down a mountain. Of course, it's not all fun... there's trail to run as well! There will also be some no-cost activities for the young-uns (and the old-uns like me - Opee - who just never grew up). Don't miss this opportunity to be a true Juvenile Delinquent! | ||||||||||||
| Sunday | Valkenburg History | |||||||||||
| The shortest running trail includes a mix of city running with a small bit in the woods. The real feature of this trail is multiple opportunities to take in a little history of the area. While on the run you can tour an old castle ruin, ride a train under a mountain, stroll through an old cemetery, and even visit the world's only aquarium built inside a cave. Plenty of distractions for you that will make this 4km trail last for several hours if you wish. Don't expect to shed any pounds (but definitely some euros) because of the intense exercise, but do expect to enjoy a unique tour that you can only get in Holland! | ||||||||||||
| Sunday | Walker's trail | |||||||||||
| It would be a criminal act for us to not offer a true walking trail for the Sunday Hangover run in Valkenburg, and we have no desire to be put behind bars for not doing one. In fact, we prefer to be in front of bars - drinking beers. If this is your aim as well, the walker's trail is just your speed. This short trail will take you on a walk through the city with opportunities to shop till you drop or to drink till you drop (you choose). A short trip up the hill with minimal checks will find you at the end of the trail enjoying the company of your fellow Hashers without expending almost any energy whatsoever. For the leisure Hasher, you will enjoy the "trail of your dreams" on the Walker's trail. | ||||||||||||
| Enjoy! | ||||||||||||
